DSREI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, donations are tax deductible. Donations can be made online (credit card) or offline (check, stocks, property, bitcoin, etc.). Your personal monetary donation history can be tracked by visiting the Donation History Page. You may also support DSREI by shopping on AmazonSmile. Amazon will make the donation, there is no added cost to you. Please see the "Donation Method" section below.

You may also dedicate your donation:

“In memory of …” - donations made to DSREI to honor the memory of someone.
“In honor of…” - donations made to DSREI to honor a person or event (marriage, child’s birth, etc.).
“From the estate of…” - donations directed to DSREI in someone's will or by the estate's executor.

Acceptance of any contribution, gift, donation, or grant is at the discretion of the Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute. No gift can be accepted unless it will be used or expended in support of the purpose and mission of the Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute.

Being listed on the donor page of the website is at the discretion of the Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

The Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute cannot provide tax or legal advice. We encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers.

The Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Other gifts will be accepted at the discretion of the Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute.

Donations of real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance. The decision to accept the donation will depend on the concerns related to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose to Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute.

All donors will receive an acknowledgment substantiating the amount of the donation and the Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute tax-exempt status. Except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value can be ascribed to any gift received by Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute.

The Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute will respect the intent of the donor relating to gift restrictions and requests for anonymity. With respect to anonymous gifts, the Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.

The Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the Diverse Sexualities Research and Education Institute.
